On construction sites, a labourer or construction worker performs manual labour. As part of the preparation process, sites may be cleaned, products, materials, and equipment may be loaded or unloaded, and risks may be removed. A general labourer might also operate some machinery, install scaffolding and other temporary structures, and take those structures down. They are required for building projects, motorway construction, and environmental cleaning.
